After I graduated from university and I get my full-time job, I also want to become a part-time football(soccer) scout. I just feel it is a fantastic job and it gives players an opportunity to show their qualities. Do I need to gain a qualification???
How long before the Australian football team will be respected and be a powerful team to take on the European and South American teams? How long before even teams such as Brazil, Germany and so on will regard them as powerful opponents instead of hopeless amateurs? They don’t even have a proper coach yet.
It occurred to me that it might be possible the world looks down on the US, or mistrusts us, because the most popular sport in the world is football/soccer yet we stink at it.. would our world wide opinion be better if we were better at this sport? Or could it backfire and if we were dominant at that too people would hate us even more.. maybe we need to find a middle ground.
But it also seems to me the officiating in football/soccer is very subjective, like basketball. Would the officials be extra hard on the US anyway preventing us from winning even if we were good at it?
